Shares accepted and gain from a tender-offer buyback.
How the Buyback Acceptance Ratio Calculator works
In a tender-offer buyback the company buys back shares at a fixed price, usually above the market price. Only part of the shares you tender is accepted (the acceptance ratio); the rest are returned to your demat account. 15% of the buyback is reserved for small shareholders, whose holding is worth up to ₹2 lakh on the record date.
