Why Is the Market Rising? Sensex Gains 1,000 Points in 2 Days, Nifty Crosses 23,400

After a sharp sell-off earlier this week, Indian stock markets have staged a strong comeback. The Sensex has surged over 1,000 points in just two trading sessions, while the Nifty has reclaimed the 23,400 mark, boosting investor confidence.

According to market experts, three major factors are driving this rally. First, crude oil prices have cooled from recent highs, reducing concerns about inflation and easing pressure on India's economy, which relies heavily on oil imports. Second, investors are rotating funds back into emerging markets like India as the global AI-driven rally loses momentum. Third, strong buying in heavyweight stocks, particularly banking and large-cap companies, has supported the market's recovery.

Additional support came from the RBI's concessional forex swap facility, which is expected to improve liquidity and encourage foreign capital inflows. Banking stocks have been among the biggest beneficiaries of this move.

While sentiment has improved, investors remain cautious as geopolitical developments and crude oil prices continue to be key factors influencing market direction.

Do you think Nifty can now move towards 24,000, or is this rally just a short-term bounce?
