Jio Platforms IPO: QIB Portion Fully Subscribed at Nearly 2x

Mukesh Ambani-led Jio Platforms’ ₹30,213 crore IPO received a strong response from institutional investors on its opening day. On October 21, 2026, the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) portion was subscribed nearly two times, highlighting significant interest from large institutional investors.

However, overall IPO subscription levels and retail investor participation remained different. The IPO has a price band of ₹1,065–₹1,119 per share and will remain open for public subscription until October 23, 2026. Investors are now closely watching subscription figures as bidding continues.

Jio’s large telecom subscriber base and growth opportunities in digital services, 5G and AI have made the IPO a major focus in the market. However, strong institutional demand does not guarantee listing gains.

Strong QIB demand is a positive indicator of institutional interest, but investors should carefully evaluate the company’s valuation, financial performance and associated risks before making an investment decision.
