Hindustan Zinc Q3 FY26 Profit Jumps 46.2% to ₹3,916 Crore on Zinc and Silver Price Rally

Hindustan Zinc Q3 FY26 Profit Jumps 46.2% to ₹3,916 Crore on Zinc and Silver Price Rally

Hindustan Zinc Ltd, a Vedanta Group company and one of the world’s leading producers of zinc and silver, reported a strong financial performance in the third quarter of FY26. The company’s net profit rose 46.2% year-on-year to ₹3,916 crore, compared to ₹2,678 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The sharp increase in profit was primarily driven by a rally in zinc and silver prices, along with higher production volumes and improved operational efficiency. During the quarter, Hindustan Zinc benefited significantly from elevated silver prices, which contributed meaningfully to overall earnings.

The company’s consolidated revenue for Q3 FY26 stood at ₹11,273 crore, registering strong growth compared to the same period last fiscal. Robust demand, favorable commodity prices, and disciplined cost management supported margin expansion.

Hindustan Zinc also reported record metal production for a third quarter, along with its lowest zinc production cost in the last five years, reflecting operational excellence and efficiency improvements across its mines and smelters.

Management highlighted that the company continues to focus on cost optimization, volume growth, and value maximization from its precious metals portfolio. The strong quarterly performance further strengthens Hindustan Zinc’s position as a key beneficiary of the global metals upcycle.

Market participants viewed the results positively, as the company demonstrated its ability to leverage favorable commodity trends while maintaining tight control over costs.
