
Mumbai-based pharmaceutical major Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd reported a robust set of third-quarter results for FY26, beating street expectations with a 16 % year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹3,369 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, according to company filings.
Revenue from operations also grew strongly, rising about 13 %-15 % YoY to over ₹15,500 crore, driven by steady domestic demand and growth in global branded and innovative medicines. Sun Pharma’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped more than 23 % YoY, while margins expanded year-on-year, reflecting improved operational efficiency.
The company’s board also approved an interim dividend of ₹11 per equity share, with the record date set for early February. Management highlighted strong performance across key segments including branded businesses in India, emerging markets and innovative medicines, which helped offset softer generic sales in certain markets.
