The India AI Impact Summit 2026 officially began on Monday at the Bharat Mandapam, drawing global attention as world leaders, technology chiefs, startups and policymakers gather to deliberate on the future of artificial intelligence.
The five-day event, running from February 16 to 20, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital.
The summit and its accompanying AI Impact Expo 2026 are being hosted alongside each other, with the expo spread across expansive pavilions that showcase international collaboration, cutting-edge innovations and AI solutions from around the world.
More than 2.5 lakh visitors, including industry leaders and delegates from various nations, are expected to attend.
This year marks a milestone as the summit takes place in the Global South for the first time, underlining India’s intent to position itself at the forefront of global AI strategy, innovation and policy shaping.
The event will feature hundreds of curated sessions, participation from over 600 startups, and leaders from technology giants and global organisations.
With sustainability, governance, and inclusive growth through AI as key themes on the agenda, delegates will explore how artificial intelligence can address some of the world’s most pressing challenges while ensuring ethical and responsible deployment
