The Indian rupee settled largely unchanged at ₹90.66 per US dollar on Monday in a range‑bound trading session as gains from lower crude oil prices were offset by foreign fund outflows and a firm US dollar.
In the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened around ₹90.63 and oscillated between a high of ₹90.61 and a low of ₹90.72 before closing at its previous level.
Traders said positive momentum in domestic equities helped support the local unit, but ongoing foreign institutional investor selling and a stronger greenback limited significant movement.
Forex analysts noted that the currency is likely to remain range‑bound near current levels unless there’s a decisive break on either side.
Immediate resistance is seen near ₹90.25 and support around ₹90.90, with markets also watching upcoming economic data from both India and the US for cues on future currency direction.
Lower crude prices and cautious market participation characterised the session, with traders also monitoring trends in the dollar index and global liquidity flows.
Indian rupee Monday ko ₹90.66 per US dollar par close hua, ek range‑bound trading session ke baad. Crude oil ke prices kam hone se gains aaye, lekin foreign fund outflows aur strong US dollar ne usse offset kar diya.
Interbank forex market mein, rupee ₹90.63 se open hua aur ₹90.61–₹90.72 ke beech fluctuate karte hue apni previous level par close hua.
