New India-Israel MoU Signed Before Modi’s Visit, Defence Ties Become Stronger!

A major defence update has come from Tel Aviv.

Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel, India and Israel have signed another important MoU. The aim of this agreement is to further deepen defence cooperation between the two countries.

Through this MoU, joint defence activities will be strengthened. It also includes plans to boost future seminars, cooperative initiatives, and industry partnerships.

SIBAT (International Defence Cooperation Directorate), which comes under Israel’s Ministry of Defense (IMOD), arranged meetings between Indian and Israeli defence industries. After these meetings, the MoU was signed.

According to IMOD, the main focus of this MoU is:

✅ Future seminars and joint initiatives

✅ Better understanding of India’s defence procurement system

✅ Strengthening long-term defence partnership

The seminar was led by SIBAT Director Brig. Gen. (Res.) Yair Kulas.

One major highlight of the event was India’s updated Defense Acquisition Procedure (DAP) 2026, which is India’s national defence procurement policy.

Israeli defence companies were given detailed information about India’s defence ecosystem and procurement rules, so that future deals and partnerships can become smoother.

According to IMOD, the event included participation from:

📌 26 Israeli defence companies

Small, medium, and large companies were part of the event, showing strong business interest in the defence sector.

Experts believe that signing this MoU before Modi’s visit is a strong strategic signal that India and Israel want to take their defence partnership to the next level.
