
Two co-founders of crypto exchange CoinDCX, Sumit Gupta and Neeraj Khandelwal, have been arrested by police in connection with a fraud case involving cryptocurrency investments. The case is based on an FIR alleging that investors were cheated of around ₹71 lakh.
According to reports, the arrests were made after complaints related to fraudulent schemes and misleading investment offers. The founders were taken into custody and presented before a court as part of the ongoing investigation.
However, CoinDCX has strongly denied all allegations. The company stated that the fraud was carried out by scammers impersonating the brand and its founders through fake websites and platforms. It clarified that these activities were not linked to the company and that it is cooperating fully with authorities.
