Sensex Recovers 300 Points from Day’s Low, Nifty Near 24,400 on US-Iran Peace Deal Optimism

Indian stock markets recovered strongly on May 7 after early volatility, with the Sensex rebounding nearly 300 points from the day’s low and Nifty trading close to the 24,400 mark.

The biggest reason behind the recovery was growing optimism around a possible US-Iran peace agreement, which boosted global investor sentiment. Reports suggested that both countries are moving closer to a framework deal that could reduce geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Another major positive factor was the sharp decline in crude oil prices. Brent crude had fallen nearly 8% in the previous session, which is considered beneficial for India as it reduces inflation pressure and improves the country’s import bill.

Markets, however, remained volatile due to continued foreign institutional investor (FII) selling and weekly expiry pressure. Despite this, buying interest in sectors like auto, banking, and financial stocks helped the indices recover from lower levels.

Stocks like Bajaj Auto and Paytm also supported the rally after posting strong quarterly earnings.

Overall, investors are now closely watching global developments, especially the outcome of US-Iran talks and crude oil movement, which may decide the next direction of the market.

Aapko kya lagta hai—agar crude oil aur gira toh Indian market new highs bana sakta hai?
