The Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a two-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the deadly fire incident in Lucknow's Aliganj area that claimed 15 lives and left several others injured. The SIT has been directed to submit its report within seven days.
The state government has also initiated action against those responsible. Reports suggest that several officials have been suspended and multiple arrests have been made as authorities investigate possible lapses in safety measures.
