Axis Bank Targets MSME Growth, Expands Branch Network To Boost Business Lending

Axis Bank is strengthening its focus on the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) segment as it looks to expand its business loan portfolio.

The bank plans to leverage its growing branch network and premium banking customer base to increase lending to small businesses. MSMEs remain one of the fastest-growing segments for banks, driven by rising credit demand and government support for entrepreneurship.

Axis Bank believes a stronger presence across cities and towns will help it reach more business owners and improve its market share in the MSME segment.

Can MSMEs become the biggest growth driver for Indian banks in the coming years?
