Apple supplier Tata Electronics has strengthened its internal cybersecurity measures following a recent data breach. The company has restricted access to sensitive internal systems, tightened remote access policies, hired a global cybersecurity consultant for a forensic audit, and informed both government authorities and its clients about the incident.
According to reports, the ransomware group World Leaks claims to have leaked more than 200,000 files on the dark web, including documents allegedly linked to Apple and Tesla. However, the authenticity of the leaked material has not been independently verified, and Tata Electronics has stated that its manufacturing operations remain unaffected.
Apple's cybersecurity team is also working closely with Tata Electronics to investigate the incident and recommend additional security enhancements across its supply chain.
