German Auto Parts Giant Webasto Plans India IPO, Eyes $500 Million Fundraising

German automotive components manufacturer Webasto is planning to take its Indian subsidiary public through an IPO by 2027. The company aims to raise $400–500 million as it looks to capitalize on India's rapidly growing demand for premium car features, especially sunroofs.

Webasto has been expanding aggressively in India and is setting up its third manufacturing facility to strengthen production capacity. The planned IPO reflects the company's long-term confidence in the Indian automobile market, which has become one of the fastest-growing auto markets globally.

Could Webasto's India IPO become one of the biggest auto component listings in the coming years?
