Rapido CEO Aravind Sanka believes India's food delivery industry needs a complete rethink. According to him, if online food delivery fails to reach 100 million users within the next three years, there would be "no reason" for Rapido to remain in the business. He argues that the current model followed by major platforms has become expensive for both customers and restaurants, limiting the market's growth.
Through its new food delivery platform Ownly, Rapido plans to focus on affordability, zero-commission for restaurants, and its existing logistics network to attract millions of new users. The company believes this approach can significantly expand India's online food delivery market instead of competing only for existing customers.
Can Rapido really disrupt Zomato and Swiggy with its zero-commission model?
Rapido ke CEO Aravind Sanka ka maanna hai ki India ka food delivery model badalne ki zarurat hai. Unhone kaha ki agar agle 3 saalon mein online food delivery users ki sankhya 100 million tak nahi pahunchti, to Rapido ke liye is business mein rehne ka koi matlab nahi hoga. Unke hisaab se current model customers aur restaurants dono ke liye kaafi mehenga hai, jis wajah se market ki growth ruk rahi hai.
Rapido apne naye platform Ownly ke zariye zero-commission model, affordable delivery aur apne strong logistics network ke dum par market ko expand karna chahta hai. Company ka maanna hai ki focus sirf competitors se market share lene par nahi, balki naye customers ko online food delivery se jodne par hona chahiye.
Kya Rapido ka zero-commission model Zomato aur Swiggy ko takkar de payega?
