🇮🇳 India Attracts ₹4,895 Crore FDI Under Revised Rules

💰₹4,895.65 crore investment: India has received 29 FDI proposals under the revised rules for investments linked to countries sharing a land border with India.

🌍 Global investor interest: The proposals involve investors from countries including the US, Mauritius, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Luxembourg.

🚀 Focus on key sectors: Investments are spread across IT, Artificial Intelligence, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, data centres and transport.

📋 What changed? Under the revised 2026 framework, investors linked to land-border countries with up to 10% non-controlling beneficial ownership can use the automatic FDI route, subject to applicable conditions.

⚡Faster approvals: The new framework aims to reduce delays and make the investment approval process more predictable for businesses.

📈 Boost for India’s investment story: The government expects the changes to improve investor confidence and make India a more attractive destination for global capital.

👉 Bottom line: With nearly ₹4,900 crore worth of FDI proposals already reported, the revised rules could give a fresh push to investments in India’s technology, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
