Amazon to invest $35 billion in India by 2030 across its businesses
Amazon has announced a major expansion plan, stating that it will invest over $35 billion in India by 2030. The investment will support the company’s key focus areas in the country, including AI-led digitisation, infrastructure growth, exports and job creation. The tech giant has already invested close to $40 billion in India since 2010. With this new commitment, Amazon aims to strengthen its logistics network, expand data centres, boost manufacturing for exports and support millions of small businesses through technology. As part of the plan, Amazon expects to generate around one million additional jobs in India by 2030. The company also aims to significantly increase India’s contribution to global e-commerce exports in the coming years. Amazon says this long-term push will help accelerate India’s digital economy and deepen its presence across all segments — from retail and cloud services to logistics, entertainment and AI innovation.
