India has significantly increased its purchases of Russian crude oil, even diverting shipments that were originally headed to China. This shift comes amid global supply disruptions caused by the ongoing Middle East conflict and easing restrictions from the US.
In a notable instance, a tanker named Aqua Titan changed its route mid-journey from China to India and is expected to arrive at New Mangalore. Overall, at least seven oil tankers have rerouted towards India as refiners rushed to secure supplies.
Indian refiners reportedly bought around 30 million barrels of Russian oil within a week to offset shortages due to disruptions in traditional supply routes like the Strait of Hormuz. This aggressive buying strategy highlights India’s focus on energy security and cost-effective sourcing.
India ne Russian oil ki kharidari kaafi tezi se badha di hai, aur China ke liye ja rahe oil shipments ko bhi divert kar liya hai. Yeh step global supply crisis aur Middle East tensions ke beech liya gaya hai, jahan oil supply disturb ho rahi hai.
Ek example me Aqua Titan naam ka tanker jo China ja raha tha, beech raste se India ki taraf mud gaya aur ab New Mangalore port par aane wala hai. Total milakar kam se kam 7 tankers ne apna route change karke India ki taraf move kiya hai.
Indian companies ne sirf ek hafte me lagbhag 30 million barrels Russian oil kharid liya hai taaki supply shortage ko handle kiya ja sake. Yeh clearly dikhata hai ki India apni energy security ko priority de raha hai aur sasta oil source secure kar raha hai.
