The Indian rupee saw a sharp recovery on March 30, 2026, rising nearly 1% to 93.85 against the US dollar after hitting a record low of 94.84 in the previous session.
This rally came after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) imposed stricter limits on banks’ foreign exchange (FX) positions, capping their net open exposure at $100 million per day. The move forced banks to unwind large dollar positions, leading to heavy dollar selling in the domestic market.
Experts believe this step helped stabilize the rupee in the short term, but volatility may continue due to global uncertainties and rising crude oil prices. The rupee had already fallen over 4% in March before this sudden rebound.
👉 Do you think this rupee recovery is sustainable, or is another fall coming soon?
30 March 2026 ko Indian rupee me strong recovery dekhne ko mili, jahan rupee lagbhag 1% badhkar 93.85 per dollar par aa gaya, jabki pichle session me ye record low 94.84 tak gir gaya tha.
Ye tezi RBI ke naye rule ke baad aayi, jisme banks ke forex positions par limit laga di gayi (max $100 million). Is wajah se banks ko apne dollar positions unwind karne pade, jisse market me heavy dollar selling hui aur rupee ko support mila.
Experts kehte hain ki short-term me rupee stable ho sakta hai, lekin global tension aur rising oil prices ki wajah se volatility abhi bhi bani reh sakti hai. Rupee March me already 4% se zyada gir chuka tha.
👉 Aapke hisaab se — kya rupee ki ye recovery sustainable hai ya fir dubara weakness dekhne ko milegi?
