Indian stock markets came under heavy pressure today, with the Sensex falling over 700 points and the Nifty slipping below the crucial 24,400 mark during the session. The sell-off was largely led by a sharp crash in IT stocks, especially after HCL Tech’s weak Q4 results and soft FY27 guidance.
The Nifty IT index plunged nearly 4.5%, with major losers including HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. HCL Tech alone fell nearly 9–10% intraday, triggering panic across the sector. At the same time, rising crude oil concerns, a weak rupee, and profit booking after the recent rally added further pressure on the market.
Despite the weakness in benchmark indices, the broader market showed some resilience as smallcap stocks outperformed and remained in the green, indicating selective buying interest. Analysts believe 24,350–24,400 remains an important near-term support zone for Nifty.
Do you think this sharp fall is just profit booking, or is a deeper correction starting?
Aaj Indian stock market mein heavy selling dekhne ko mili, jahan Sensex 700 points se zyada toot gaya aur Nifty important 24,400 level ke niche slip kar gaya. Is girawat ka sabse bada reason IT stocks mein sharp crash raha, especially HCL Tech ke weak Q4 results aur soft FY27 guidance ke baad.
Nifty IT index lagbhag 4.5% gir gaya, jisme HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, TCS aur Wipro jaise stocks sabse bade losers rahe. Sirf HCL Tech hi 9–10% tak gir gya, jisne poore IT sector mein panic create kar diya. Saath hi crude oil concerns, weak rupee aur recent rally ke baad profit booking ne bhi pressure badhaya.
Interesting baat ye rahi ki benchmark indices weak hone ke bawajood smallcap stocks ne better performance dikhayi aur green zone mein rahe, jo selective buying ko show karta hai. Experts ke hisaab se 24,350–24,400 Nifty ke liye important support zone hai.
Aapko kya lagta hai — ye sirf profit booking hai ya market mein deeper correction shuru ho gaya hai?
