Trump Rejects Iran’s Peace Response as “Totally Unacceptable” — Global Tensions Rise Again

Global tensions are rising once again after US President Donald Trump strongly rejected Iran’s latest response to a US-backed peace proposal. Trump called Iran’s reply “totally unacceptable,” reducing hopes for a quick end to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

According to reports, Iran’s proposal demanded lifting US sanctions, ending restrictions on Iranian oil exports, compensation for war damages, and guarantees against future attacks. Iran also reportedly pushed for greater control over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes.

The US had earlier proposed a ceasefire first, followed by talks on sensitive issues like Iran’s nuclear program. But Trump’s sharp rejection has increased fears that the conflict could continue longer than expected.

After the news, global oil prices jumped sharply as investors worried about fresh disruptions in energy supply and shipping routes. Rising oil prices could also impact inflation and stock markets worldwide, including India.

Do you think rising global tensions can create another big correction in stock markets worldwide?
