Sensex Falls 600+ Points Again! Rupee Hits Record Low Amid Middle East Crisis

Indian stock markets remained under heavy pressure as the Sensex fell over 600 points and the Nifty slipped below the important 23,650 level. Rising Middle East tensions, surging crude oil prices, and a sharply weakening rupee created panic among investors.

The Indian rupee touched a fresh all-time low near 95.6 against the US dollar as crude oil prices crossed the $100 per barrel mark. Investors are worried that worsening US-Iran tensions could disrupt global oil supply routes and increase inflation pressure on India.

Heavy FII selling, rising bond yields, and expiry-day volatility also added pressure on Dalal Street. IT, banking, realty, and pharma stocks were among the biggest losers during the session.

Companies like Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, and HCL Technologies saw sharp declines, while oil-linked stocks like ONGC and Oil India gained due to rising crude oil prices.

Analysts believe volatility may remain high in the coming days as investors closely track crude oil prices, geopolitical developments, rupee movement, and inflation data.

Do you think this market fall is a temporary panic or the beginning of a bigger correction?
